OUR ACTIONS
We’re focused on reducing our footprint.
How can we help you to do the same?
Sustainability
Sustainability is central to our ethos. At the 2018 Davos World Economic Forum two of our largest clients; Coca-Cola and Unilever pledged to work towards 100% sustainable packaging by 2025. We’ve aligned our sustainability targets to assist them in meeting their ambitions.
Plastic Reduction
Our industry has made significant progress in reducing the use of plastic in its products and eliminating the use of single use-plastic in packaging, in favour of recyclable alternatives. Working alongside our customers, we’ve gone one step further and introduced a range of biodegradable and compostable material alternatives.
Lifecycle Analysis
We conduct cradle-to-grave analysis to evaluate the environmental impact of a product. This encompasses material extraction, processing, manufacturing, packaging, distribution, use, and disposal. These studies inform decisions taken throughout the full life cycle of a product.
Recycled Void Fill
We’ve invested in machinery that allows us to transform waste cardboard packaging into free, environmentally friendly void fill. This ensures customers receive their goods in packaging that is both recycled and recyclable.
Use of Recycled Materials
We offer expert advice on emerging trends and product innovation, encouraging brands to consider Design for Disassembly (DFD) and the use of recycled and recyclable problems wherever possible. Maintaining a diverse supply chain ensures we are not restricted to a particular manufacturing process or material solution.
Energy Reduction
As part of our Green Initiative, we’re continually looking at new ways of reducing our energy consumption. We’ve recently invested in thermally efficient warehouses that remove the need for any form of heating, installed energy saving lighting systems, and upgraded our fleet of material handling equipment to zero-emission status.
Waste Management
We work very closely with our Waste Management partners and are proud of our status as a 0% landfill business. Our installation teams operate a closed loop system, whereby used packaging materials are returned to our warehouse and processed to create recycled void fill.
Efficient Distribution
Efficient distribution doesn’t just offer cost and time savings, it also reduces the carbon footprint of a project. By involving us from the start, we’re able to select the most suitable combination of manufacturers, transportation, and distribution locations to ultimately minimise the miles travelled by your product.
